Mac vs. PC
Mac design seems to be quite appealing, but that's the only thing I like about it. PCs are still cheaper (desktops and laptops) in the long run. It's much easier to upgrade a PC (availability and price) than a Mac. PCs are more rugged - I don't have to waste my time on polishing and cleaning them. PC is a tool. Mac is like an expensive bimbo girlfriend that freezes/crashes more often than a PC. I prefer pc's for the office programs.
Reflection Letter: Better student, better writer
Throughout this academic year, I have been challeged by my rhetoric writing proffessor to explore new reaches of my mind and write about topics that have previously not been addressed to me. We have learned new concepts in class about proper writing and using logos, pathos and ethos into our essay. I now am better able to incorporate new styles into my pieces and my writing has grew into a more finished product thanks to gained knowledge in class.
Informative Speaker T-Boone Pickens
Going to the special hearing of T-Boone Pickens made me much more aware to the effects we are causing to the planet Earth and also what we need to do in order to save it. First we must create millions of new jobs by building out the capacity to generate up to 22 percent of our electricity from wind; and adding to that with additional solar generation capacity. Next, we build a 21st century backbone electrical transmission grid. Then, providing incentives for homeowners and the owners of commercial buildings to upgrade their insulation and other energy saving options; and using America's natural gas to replace imported oil as a transportation fuel in addition to its other uses in power generation, chemicals, etc. All these examples are ways he plans to save our environment.
